Hamster

While my husband and I await the arrival of our new puppy, our best friends are currently also awaiting the arrival of a new pet for their family, a hamster. My best friend is actually allergic to both cats and dogs, so having them as pets has pretty much been eliminated. Their boys both love animals and have wanted something they could cuddle. They finally all agreed on a hamster. Since our friends have two boys and could envision them fighting over the poor hamster, they decided on purchasing two. That way each boy would have his own individual pet they wouldn’t have to share. I do believe they will share the same cage, but the boys have both claimed which hamster belongs with which boy.   

 

I’ll admit, I’ve never owned a hamster or even knew anyone who did. Our family always had dogs or cats, but I’ve heard hamsters make great pets and I’m sure it will bring the boys a lot of happiness playing with them. I just hope they never decide to bring them over for the cat or dog to play with or those poor little critters may hide and never come out.
