Allowing a child to have an aquarium is a good way to teach them how to take care of a pet. |

I remember my first Aquarium. I begged my mom for weeks to let me have one. She always said no they are to expensive and to much for me to take care of. She said I would forget to feed the fish and they would die making the house smell. Oh, how wrong she was. It took almost two weeks before she fianlly said yes. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't deceide if I should use colorful rocks to line the bottom of the aquarium or just leave it bare. I finally deceided to be unique and use marbles. I looked for just the right size plant and then found the perfect ship with a treasure chest full of coins and jewlrey. Now my aquarium was almost complete.
My mom told me to start out with guppies and goldfish since it was my first aquarium. I was so happy she allowed me to get one I agreed instantly. She let me keep it in my room. I would sit in my bed at night just watching my fish. It was very relaxing. I really feel it was a good learning experience. |
