I have a friend whose son has a couple of small reptiles for pets. Normally, this doesn’t interest me at all, but I have seen his reptiles. He has a couple of Leopard Geckos. Her son indicated that these are the easiest of lizards to care for and are good for the novice. Now, I love the Gecko insurance commercials, so I already had a soft spot for these reptiles. Also, living in the southwest I see many desert Geckos in my yard all the time. They eat all the insects and I love to see them scurrying about or they are usually on my block fence. There are many iron or metal sculptures here in the southwest depicting the Gecko, so as far as having a reptile for a pet, I guess a Leopard Gecko wouldn’t be bad. My friends son has a nice size tank for the lizards and he says they are easy to care for and quite calm. Looking at them, they are cute in their own way. I keep thinking of the Gecko commercial, so I think these are the one type of reptile I could have in my home.
