Last month my kids asked me the question that many parents dread and know is coming. My kids asked me if they could get a pet. I knew that if I said yes, I would most likely be the one taking care of it. Either way, I decided to cave in and buy them a hamster. Going out to buy our new pet was a lot of fun and my kids were on their best behavior.

After about the third pet store, we finally found our perfect hamster. We bought the very basic supplies and went home. However, by the end of the week, I was desiring more fun toys for our little hamster. This time I decided to buy the pet products online, due to the fact that pet stores are not my most favorite places on the planet. After a few minutes of shopping, I had found everything my hamster could possibly want and need.

We love our little guy and he seems to be pretty happy as well. I have to say that I was really surprised by my kids and the way that they took on the responsibility of having a pet. I am really glad that I agreed to a pet!
